📢 We’re Hiring: Billing Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Billing Specialist to join our healthcare operations team supporting a U.S.-based partner. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate patient billing, resolving inquiries, and maintaining clean financial records.

This is a non-clinical role focused on billing accuracy, patient communication, and insurance coordination. You will work closely with patients, internal teams, and billing systems to ensure timely collections and a seamless financial experience.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Patient Billing & Inquiries

  • Respond to patient billing inquiries via phone with clear, professional communication
  • Provide accurate explanations of charges, balances, and payment options
  • Ensure timely follow-ups and resolution of billing concerns

Insurance & Claims Review

  • Review insurance claims for accuracy, including:
    • Copayments
    • Deductibles
    • Coinsurance
  • Verify correct patient responsibility and identify discrepancies

Payment Processing & Invoicing

  • Collect patient payments and process transactions securely
  • Generate and distribute invoices and receipts for both paid and outstanding balances
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions

Audit & Reconciliation

  • Perform daily audits of patient visits and invoices
  • Ensure all billable encounters are properly invoiced
  • Confirm payments are collected when applicable

Partner Billing Support

  • Review intake tickets for eligibility and referral accuracy
  • Assist in ensuring correct partner invoicing and documentation

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate billing records in compliance with company policies
  • Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of financial data

Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Work with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies
  • Identify opportunities to improve billing workflows and efficiency

Must-Have Qualifications

  • At least 1–2 years experience in medical billing, healthcare admin, or related field
  • Strong understanding of insurance terms (copay, deductible, coinsurance)
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with billing systems and basic computer applications
  • Ability to handle patient interactions professionally and empathetically
  • Comfortable working night shift (U.S. time zone)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Must have at least 100MBPS internet speed and backup internet

  • Experience supporting U.S. healthcare billing
  • Background in healthcare BPO or remote setup
  • Familiarity with EMR or billing platforms
  • Experience in collections or patient financial services
  • Has power backup in case of outages
